Slender Club Japan Annual Meeting & Live Demonstration 2026 in TOKYO

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Slender Club Japan Annual Meeting & Live Demonstration 2026 in TOKYO. I sincerely appreciate your participation and continued support of Slender Club Japan.

Following the success of last year’s meeting, we are delighted to gather once again in Hachioji, Tokyo. The theme of this year’s meeting is “The Next Step Toward a Consensus Document for Minimally Invasive Catheter-Based Treatments.”

Analyses of the National Clinical Database (NCD), which reflects real-world clinical practice across Japan, have demonstrated that Slender PCI is associated with fewer complications compared with conventional PCI techniques. This important achievement reflects the dedication, expertise, and meticulous clinical practice of physicians and medical staff throughout Japan.
Building on these findings, the time has come for us to further examine the key factors that contribute to safer and less invasive catheter-based treatments and to share these insights with the global community in the form of consensus documents.
While a consensus document on cardiac CT has already been published, this year we will organize a special symposium aimed at developing a new consensus document focusing on the access site, one of the fundamental elements of minimally invasive catheter interventions.

At the same time, it is essential to translate these concepts into daily clinical practice. At SCJ 2026, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), endovascular therapy (EVT), and cardiac CT will serve as the three pillars of the program. Through live demonstrations, hands-on sessions, and educational programs for medical staff, we aim to share the latest knowledge and techniques while providing valuable opportunities for learning and discussion.

The official language of the scientific sessions will be English, reflecting our commitment to creating an international platform where young and emerging physicians can engage with the global community. We are also honored to welcome more than 20 distinguished international faculty members, providing an inspiring opportunity for worldwide exchange and collaboration.

Despite the challenging economic environment, our commitment to advancing minimally invasive therapy remains unwavering. Together, we will continue striving to shape a future of medicine that is gentler for patients and more sustainable for healthcare professionals.

I sincerely hope that this meeting will inspire fruitful discussions, new insights, and lasting professional friendships. I very much look forward to welcoming you to Hachioji, Tokyo, and hope that you will enjoy a productive and memorable meeting.
